Why is it sometimes so difficult to forgive?
You cannot forgive someone until you are able to stand in your power, while in their presence.
We become angry and resentful because we feel that our power has been taken away.
We hold on to grievances and refuse to forgive as a way to put up an energetic wall that serves the purpose of protecting us. Sooner or later that wall does us more harm than good, because that same wall imprisons us in fear - which is the ultimate dis-empowerment.
In order to forgive and take down this wall, we must be able to stand firmly in our power and not give that power to anyone - for any reason.
In grace & gratitude,
Nanice
