The Sweetest Moment is this moment.
I love taking photos because a photograph has the power to capture the simplest moments and make them grand.
Every moment is beautiful when you stop to capture it – whether that be with camera or heart.
When we stop and capture the beauty of the moment, we are sending love to that moment and everything and everyone in it. We are in love with the moment and the moment loves us back.
Often these moments occur when something big and profound makes us pay attention, but these sacred moments exist all day - every day. No moment is any less grand or sacred than any other moment.
How beautiful is this moment that you are experiencing right now?
Years ago, as I was rushing to fix a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for my son, I suddenly stopped. I realized that in the rushing, I was missing the point.
Yes, he was hungry and had to eat, but the real benefit of preparing food or doing anything else for my children is the presence and love that I put into it. It’s not the peanut butter or jelly. It’s the love.
If I am rushing and not present, I am putting fear into the sandwich - not love.
At that moment, I made a commitment to myself to always be present when I make food for my children, to always be present when I speak with them, to always be present in everything I do – with everyone.
How will you know how sweet and sacred this moment is, if you are not paying attention?
Be Here Now.
In grace & gratitude,
